Arrived at dealership wasn't sure which service building to enter. Looks like there is one labeled certified and the other more of a quick lube. I went to the quick lube. Service was fast no complaints. When paying I presented a coupon that was emailed to me with reference to my 2022 Silverado Duramax. Was told the coupon doesn't apply to my vehicle. Wondering why you would send me a coupon that doesn't apply to my vehicle? The clerk took $10 off my bill and apologized for the confusing email.

Went to Quick Lube without an appointment. Was told 90 minute wait time. In and out in less than an hour!

I appreciate the communication with the tech. I did ask to get a quote on a door ding. I didn't get that quote. I asked about the quote, and was told that wasn't a service problem. I didn't get any further assistance with my request. When I went to schedule the appointment, I ended up doing it online because I called two separate times and was on hold for over 45 minutes. The online form is very confusing. I was wanting to set up an appointment to have my car checked prior to the 36,000 mile warranty, but somehow signed up for an oil change and tire rotation.

The oil change itself was fine, but attention to detail missed the mark this time. After declining a cabin air filter replacement (which was already new), I later discovered my glove compartment had been removed and left on the passenger floor, and one screw was missing from the filter cover. Not a major disaster, but not what I expect from Karl Chevrolet Quick Lane either. I’m usually very pleased with the service here — hoping this was just an off day.

Easy to get appointment for new tires on wife's car. Tire sale buy 3 get 4th for a $1.00. Completed change in a timely manner.

We dropped our car off to get serviced. We had your Courtesy Shuttle take us to a restaurant. I received a call saying that my car was done. When we arrived back at the Dealership, Shwana took care of my bill. She could not locate my keys. So when she got done, she help us walk the parking lot to try to find the car. We could not locate the car so she went back in to find who ever did the work on it and found out that it was still being worked on. I have to say that overall, since Karl is no longer running the business, things have gotten very disorganized there. My only positive experience was the fact that Shwana helped us through a situation that was completely out of her control.

This was the first time we have ever purchased a vehicle at this dealership and in this matter. Generally we go to Woodhouse or Sid Dillon, ( Omaha area) however Karl Chevy had the color I wanted in my new truck and all the extras. Was able to purchase the vehicle by doing almost everything over the phone which was new to me. Austin made it easy for me and let me know exactly what he needed at any given time. To make it more convenient for us they drove my new truck from Ankeny to Stuart location for me to pick up so I would not have to drive as far and I signed the paper work there and took it home. I would definitely buy a vehicle from them again and recommend their dealership to anyone.

People were friendly enough. Chevrolet engineers haven’t resolved an issue that I’ve had from day one of purchasing my new vehicle. I got one problem fixed but the technician caused another problem causing me to make another trip in to get it resolved. I live over 30 minutes away so it’s a task to get the vehicle there. I do appreciate the availability of the loaner vehicles.

Had an oil change and tire rotation. While being checked in the gal had me pull up the fuel filter and def. The filter was fine the def was a little above half. She asked if I'd like it topped of i said sure unaware i was going to be charged almost 35 bucks for a few gallons of def. Total bill was 209 bucks and some change. We've bought several vehicles from Karl's and always had them serviced here as well. But 209 for an oil change tire rotation and top off a couple gallons of def. Its time to shop around.

My experience left me feeling like I was just a single ticket number and dollar signs for the company to make a profit on. I am aware that my car is aging and with it will come basic repairs and preventative maintenance, however my response from the company was devasting. When I also then took the proactive approach to consider a different vehicle and continue my business with Karl's the initial response I was given was a Penny's on the dollar response and offer. The market is tight, my families finances are tight, and now we are given the choice of childcare or a reliable vehicle. The specific point I lost all confidence in this company was when I picked up my vehicle with a now known battery issue. It was handed over to me with brand new issues that were not there when we asked for it to be serviced and a genuine dismissal and rude service technician who should have taken better care and concern in retrieving our vehicle. It is common sense to not shut a vehicle off in cold weather after it has sat outside and needs a new battery. My future recommendations will be to anyone else considering the service department to double check everything with cautious eyes for mistreatment and abuse.

After getting the new radio we still had to go back to get car play to work.

Karl’s is always a good place to take a vehicle. I know my problem was hard to create with my parking sensors but they still do not work properly.

Everything went well except the free car wash. Car looked filthy afterwards and im thinking something isn't working right because there was about a 5 inch wide streak the length of the car on both sides that was dirty and the back didnt get clean. Part of the reason I get my oil changed at karl is the free car wash.

The overall battery/engine air filter went well but then realized that all tire sensors were out. Asked the service guy as what happened and he gave me all these run around explanations that this happens when battery is changed, everything is reprogrammed, etc. I asked that this needed to be fixed and he refused to do this in all tires as he said this wasn’t their problem but mine and i needed to pay for it instead. Left very dissatisfied and disappointed. I have spent thousands of dollars at this dealer over the years and this is the first time that they have refused to fix a problem that was a result of their work.

Issue was not corrected. New issues were caused by the visit. Wish I would have just lived with the original issue at this point. The purchase of vehicle was made with false advertising by GM/Chevy since I lost a key feature that weighed in my decision to buy the new vehicle in the first place.

I was unimpressed with the service I received. I came to have the tires rotated and balanced as required by the tires for life program. I was told it would take about 1.5 hours to get this done. I was there for over 2 hours. There seems to be no hustle in the shop there anymore. I used to be able to pull in there and get the same service done in 30 minutes. I sat in my truck most of the time I was there. I saw other vehicles that arrived after me get pulled in and worked on before mine. I also watched a number of employees that didn't seem to have anything to do and just stood around most of the time I was there. I used to be impressed by how well Karl ran the dealership but seems to be a lack of leadership now and it is affecting the customers.

Over the past few weeks I had been in touch with the sales team at Karl. When we were ready I reached out and Kevin made contact with me. We had a couple short conversations of what were thinking. I really enjoy Karl’s approach to no pressure sales. “When it works let us know what we can do for you.” I don’t think there is another dealer in Iowa like that. This is our fourth deal with karl. We have had the same financial officer all three times. Ray is best, he knows his stuff, gets you in and out. The whole team has it figured out, they listen, they work, and they keep moving. You don’t wait around on them! Thank you guys!

For the first time, after seeing how long it is taking to get oil changed and at Karl's (employee) suggestion, I scheduled an oil (and tire rotation only if need be) change appointment. After arriving 5 minutes early, getting checked in and told it should not take more that 40 minutes, I realized after 25 minutes that they had not take the car in to be worked out. I asked about it and after 5 minutes of their looking into it, the car was taken in. When checking out, the leader describing work done initially said, after asking, that the tire rotation didn't get done. But then, after looking at the tire tread levels, he told me it didn't need it. Then, after looking through the paperwork, he discovered that the tire rotation did get done which now I was asking why if it wasn't needed. The work was done in about 70 minutes but I offer the fact that it would have been much longer had I not asked why the car hadn't been taken in after 25 minutes (at 1 p.m. when I scheduled it for). Honestly, I have seen the service at Karl get worse and worse. This scheduling was because of poor service from past experiences.

I described how my vehicle felt like it was floating back and forth while driving and could possibly be a bad tire. The technician could not feel the issue I had described but still did not stop there. He did a total re alignment. The driver side rear needed a slight change, so small that they thought it might not have done much. Well I sure noticed a difference and I am one happy customer! Thank you.

A check engine light came on. I also wanted the button to the cruise control changed out. Mine was completely worn off. I set up an appointment but the check engine light went out so I cancelled the appointment. A few days later the Karl's shop called and said the button was in. I made the appointment and got the new button. They also replaced the vent canister and a solenoid due to a code still active. 2 problems solved and both were still under warrantee.

I need a tire replaced on my 2025 Blazer. I was surprised to find out it takes 5 days to get a replacement. They put the spare on Thursday which limits you t0 40 miles. I know it's not there fault it takes so long to get it.I would expect it on a older vehicle, but not a 1 year old car.

I was informed, that the oil change/tire rotation package is purchased has to be done at the same time or forfeit the service for which I paid, I should have known this, however it was an oversight on my part, also had to convince the young lady checking me in that I indeed made an appointment...some sort of error in communication...stuff happens...did a great job changing my oil

first stop at 6:00am was fast lane for oil, rotate, the normal stuff. Asked the staff to check battery condition. maintenance was completed quickly and professionally as usual. The battery was found in poor condition. However fast lane isn't really set up to handle those tasks. Which is totally understandable. Terry woods and the technician were very helpful. It was suggested I visit the main service area to see what they might be able to do. Knowing that the service department is very busy and have scheduled appointments with valued customers, I figured I'd at least be able to schedule a return visit to get the battery replaced. I met with service advisor Taylor Fjelland and explained the situation; keep in mind this is pretty early in the AM when most of us (including service advisors) haven't had enough coffee to deal with these things. Taylor was pleasant and understanding. He wrote up a service request on the spot and explained it'd probably take a little over an hour to get the battery replaced, which was spot on. I'd like to extend my thanks to the efficient fast lane team. And the total rock stars that are located in the service department that go above and beyond. It made my day!! Thanks Karl Chevrolet

Excellent and more importantly, honest service! I had requested a transmission fluid flush for my 2022 Corvette, which is quite expensive. The staff stopped, discussed it with me and did extensive research to make sure it was necessary before proceeding.

My service was great and the mechanics were finished in a short time.

I was having a problem with a message that came up and then my fan would run when I shut my car off. Also, my air conditioner stopped working when this message came up on my dash. I had taken it to another GM dealer but every time I take it there, the message would go away and they said there was nothing I could do about it until that message stayed there when they started to look at the vehicle. I spoke with one of the service people at Karl Chevrolet in Ankeny and they told me to bring it up the next day, which I did. The problem is the message went off after I was on my way to Ankeny. The service people in Ankeny said it’s OK, that message will be stored so we’ll see what it was. They could see that it was related to the thermostat and they fixed it that day. I was so worried that it was going go out of warranty before anyone fixed the problem. They also gave me a loaner car that I could drive while it was being fixed. I can’t say enough about how good they were to work with. They did an awesome job for me and I would recommend them to anybody.

We love our car! I think everything went well! Before we started buying car at Karl Chevrolet they always bought our meal. I think you do that at Karl Chevrolet should do that too! We spent so much money that it would be nice to do that for us! Just my personal opinion

Everything was great, but I was less than impressed with the fact that upon receiving the vehicle at the dealership, I had to take it down the street to put gas in it. I bought multiple vehicles from this dealership and I've never had this happen before. Again, not a deal breaker just inconvenient.

Check-in and work on the vehicle was great. However I asked for a return ride to the dealership at 5 pm. After three phone calls, being on hold for two of those, I finally was able to ask why I did not have a ride. They got someone there by 5:30, which caused me to be very late for another appointment

They were very busy that day. My appointment was 1:00 and I got done at 4:15. The guy that did my car did give me an update part way though that time. He said that had a lot of cars at the same time. When I was done he did explain what he did to my Bolt and was sorry for the delay.

Ordered a camera when I bought the car. Had to call back and confirm it was ordered when I got the car. Accessories dept said they knew nothing of it yet I was charged. Ordered protection plan and still no one has called me about getting that taken care of.

Have purchased multiple vehicles and had other service done at Karls before with no complaints. Curremtly Have a '24 Silverado with less than 20000 miles. This time they were rude and far from helpful! The service technician charged me $150 to tell me I have a screw loose somewhere on my air intake that is causing an air leak somewhere and there's nothing he can do to help. I would think a top Chevy dealer like Karl's would have more knowledge about a new truck. Thanks for the big news. Guess I'll have to take it to a shop that can help me, along with the rest of my business.

The lady that checked me in went in and yelled at the employees working because I had been sitting there for an over a hour and cars that were checked in after me were already in bays. Some of the employees stood around complaining about others. The guy who is clearly over these employees just stood there talking to one lady about suing her doctor. You just opened and are already not doing your job. I was very unhappy with the service and the attitude of the lady that cashed you out.

Went to Quick Lane service for oil change and tire rotation. Was told by service writer it would be roughly 80 minute wait and was over 2 hours before we got car back.

I came to Karl’s because my friend Dale Stryuk was buying a truck. We ended up buying from Karl’s. His son bought a new truck the same day he did and his mom and dad just bought because of Dale. Over $250,000 in sales for Karl’s!! Dale got $100 because we all didn’t go through the same sale person!! That BS!! Karl’s still got all our business! After finding out Karl’s didn’t treat Dale fair, I’ll be going somewhere else in 2026.

While purchasing a new vehicle seems overwhelming, the staff at Karl helped ease my anxiety and empowered my decision to successfully purchase my new Chevy Colorado!

I had a very efficient oil change and tire rotation done.

Had a slow leak in my front driver side tire. They were able to replace the tire within an hour or so. I didn't have much of a choice to replace the tire and the service was very good. However the price of the tire $365 seemed very high. After it was replaced I checked with several other places in Ankeny and the tire was <$200.

From the start. making the appointment, working with the Sevice personnel, getting a loaner, and paying the bill was so smooth and the communication was provided very clear, so I understood how my vehicle was being repaired and maintenance completed, all the way down to having my windshield wipers replaced. I have worked with a competitor before, and was never treated with this highly service. I will always recommend Karl, and will continue to go back for future service repairs. KH Johnston, IA

I went in for an oil change & to find out if I could get my new tires as I am on the tires for life program. My car is a 2014 & I didn't feel safe anymore driving too far. I am so happy they told be I am eligible for new tires & am getting them next week. Thank you so much!

It is always friendly first off I had my 2019checked over a few days before my original 5 yr warrenty was gone & they found an oil leak it was to have been the oil plug. So I took out an extended warrenty through Karls. I don’t drive it but around 6,000 miles a yr & it only showed about 4,000 miles on it when I noticed there was still a leak under it. Checked the oil stick & it was almost a Quare Lowe. Stopped in to Karl’s & talked to Dale set up a apoint ment came back 8 days later & they said it was the oil filter O ring & put on a new filter asset a quart of oil & said it would need to get oil changed in 3,000 miles come home & cleaned the oil spot off the floor. . No charge since it was them that did the oil change & it was a bad deal on the oil filter.. always get my services done by Karl’s 🥰

Well it was far less then in pass years of purchasing a new truck from Karl’s! Things have certainly changed since the loss of Carl.

Quick and easy.

Everything turned out great on the fender that was painted, the only trouble Iv been battling with is there is scratches on the hood that were above the repair. Now I can’t confirm if this was caused by me or not, but with it being deeper scratches I can’t see how I could have caused it as normal washes wouldn’t cause this. It’s almost as if sand paper was laid across the hood and dragged off. Again, hard to know if I did this or not but I try to take very good care of my vehicles, in which nothing is set on it, or leaned on it.

Ben Shaver is the reason for the sale. He did an excellent job and is incredibly knowledgeable of the Traverse and all of it's features / benefits. We put money down and have been waiting for 6 long months to buy our dream Toyota Grand Highlander, but we were met with excuses and delays the entire time. I tried to make an appointment to have my oil changed but was told I needed to use the drive up oil change. When I arrived there was a 2 hour wait for service, but I noticed there was a bay dedicated to appointments. I was not happy that I could have made an appointment and avoided the wait, but was brushed off. Next time I will insist that I get an appointment time.

Anthony was very nice and responsive. But after driving an hour and 40 mins to your dealership the “appraiser” or sales manager changed the deal within 15 minutes of me getting there. As a customer I was irate and Anthony should have been also. He did his job and then the greedy upper brass try to change it. I love the truck I bought but I will never purchase or recommend any of your locations to anyone

Karl's did a great job completing the oil change, inspection, tire rotation, and finding the faulty trailer module. The only recommendation for improvement would be to provide a periodic status update. After two hours of waiting I asked for an update to find out the status. It took 3 hours overall to take care of everything on my truck.

Everyone very friendly. Loved the call beforehand and actually got my appt moved up.

Top notch customer service! In today's day and age there is so much bad customer service out there. Karl's is not one of those businesses! Karl's writes the rules on how good customer service is!

Everybody that I dealt with was very professional and knowledgeable about Silverado that purchased. What sold me was the truck, thanks to your enormous inventory, had everything that I was looking for. I will add though that I was a little taken aback by the television advertisement that I saw a day after I took possession that said select Silverado's were now being discounted as much as $15,000. It leaves a little bit of a bad taste in my mouth, but I guess that's the car business for you.

Truck serviced in a timely manner. Service area staff pleasant and helpful.

I arrived to get basic oil change and employee said the oil change will take ~60 minutes. I said I have a 4 hour drive to get to funeral by 5pm he said no problem. It took 2:15 minutes to complete. Then charged me for oil change even though truck still under warranty. Paid because I was already late for funeral. Service adviser did not indicate a charge and went to cashier is when I learned I would be charged. Bad experience! Won’t be back.

Karl’s always treats me so well and helped me out with a warranty issue that any other dealer probably would have fought me on. As a result, I replaced all my air filters at the dealership and will continue to get my maintenance done here. My next car will probably be a Chevy too because I’ve been treated so well. It pays not to nickel and dime customers! Thank you

All of the personal were professional, friendly and thorough.

Some miscommunications on when service was done. But the salesperson resolved it. Greeters could be more friendly in the morning dropoff.

2025 Equinox was in for the blind spot indicators not working and a loose steering wheel part. We are waiting for parts to fix the steering wheel. While in the service area the AWD service light turned on. That was fixed as well. So overall we are fairly happy. Would be nice to not have to wait for the steering wheel trim piece which fell off. keep in mind this car only has approx 4,000 miles on it.
