The Academy of Karl Automotive Training program (AKAT) is designed to not only provide automotive skills, but start your career as an expert in the automotive industry as well as provide the opportunity to advance to all aspects of Karl Auto Group. As a student, you will earn as you learn, gaining the knowledge to move from Automotive Maintenance Inspection Apprentice to Automotive Maintenance Technician and finally Automotive Maintenance Master Technician.

YOUR CAREER PATH

During your first training period, you will earn training credits to complete the required courses to earn your diploma as a Maintenance Inspection Technician. This is accomplished through web-based training, on-demand Virtual Classroom courses and on-the-job, real-world training at any Karl location. 

Your second training period will advance you to Automotive Maintenance Master Technician. Here, you will use the knowledge and skills you acquired during your AKAT experience to provide world-class service to our customers. You will also become a mentor technician, assisting in the training of Automotive Maintenance Inspection Apprentices.

 

This program is not just a job, but a career path that can provide a future for you and your loved ones. Many jobs can be outsourced in today's market. This career can't.

 

It will provide you with job security and the highest level of training to give you the edge needed to become a more valuable employee.

HIGH TECH SKILLED CAREER

Next, you will have the opportunity to advance to the next level of your career as a Certified Technician with the proper training and assistance. After achieving this level, you will be given the opportunity to take the hands-on assessment, which will qualify you as a Master Technician. After passing eight of these assessments, you can become a World Class Technician - the highest level of technician that is achievable. Your training doesn't end there. The AKAT Program is an ongoing training program with new courses added to your training path each year.
